Dr. Ananta Tamuli

Assistant Professor

Biography

1.      Dr Ananta Tamuli has completed his school education from Kakojan Boy’s HS School. After that he pursued H.S and B.A from Kakojan College. He completed his Masters in Economics from Dibrugarh University, Assam, M. Phil from Periyer University, Salem, Tamilnadu and Ph.D from Dibrugarh University.

He joined Kendriya Mahavidyalaya on 10/09/1998 in non sanction post and is presently serving as Assistant professor in the department of economics. Since his joining, he has extended his sincere services for the all round development of the College in general and department of economics in particular.

His research interest is rural development and did his Ph. D on ‘Role of NGOs in Socio-economic Upliftment of Rural People of Assam’. He also completed one UGC sponsored minor Research project on ‘Role of Self Help Groups towards the Empowerment of Rural Women’. Till now he has published 10 research papers in national and international reputed journals. He attended and presented more than 20 seminar paper in different national, international and state level seminars. He has edited a number of books, journals and magazines inside and outside the institution.  He is a life member of “The Institute of Social Research and Applied Anthropology”, BIDISA, West Bengal. He took different responsibilities like Assistant Coordinator IQAC, Career Counselling Cell and number of various academic and development Committees of the College.
