Mrs Minakshi Borah

Associate Professor

Biography

Mrs. Minakshi Borah graduated from J. B. College, Jorhat, completed M.A. in History from Gauhati University and M. Phil from Vinayak Mission University. She joined this college on 11.10.1999 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2013. Presently she is holding the position Head, Department of History. Till now she has published 7 Research paper in national Journal and presented 10 papers in the National and International Seminars. Apart from academic assignments, many of her stories, poems and articles have been published in several newspaper and magazines. She was one of the members of the college team which visited Silpakorn University, Bangkok for academic and cultural exchange programme on December, 2019

Institutional Cooperate Responsibility

  • Minakshi Borah has been actively involved for five times as one of the Teacher in Charge of Students’ Council. She was appointed as class adviser, A. O. C of University exam, editorial board member of books published by the college, judge of different competition organised by the college, in charge of college excursion, in charge of college team for inter college youth festival, assistant zonal officer of university exam, coordinator of one week FDP on Use of ICT Tools for Classroom Teaching organized by E&ICT Academy IIT Guwahati in association with Jorhat kendriya Mahavidyalaya. Presently she is one of the members of IQAC and Coordinator of Cutting and Embroidery classes and member of various committees of the college.
